Our Ethos

Aspire and achieve

Holy Trinity Nursery is a multi-cultural 26-place setting attached to Holy Trinity CofE Primary School. We aspire to and achieve high educational standards, while enabling children to flourish personally, developing their individual gifts and talents. Safety and wellbeing are paramount, and we create the forums to hear our children’s voices by giving them opportunities to talk to staff about ways to make our school even better.

Our Christian values

As a community, we believe that the Christian values of Reverence, Hope, Koinonia (fellowship), Service, Perseverance and Compassion reflect our school. British Values and Christian values underpin our daily life and make sure that we treat each other with respect and care. This is essential to our vision, which is:

To create a family rooted in love for one another where every unique child and adult can flourish by developing a love of learning, deepening in their spiritual awareness and growing in the aspirations of what they can achieve, while recognising that their skills and compassion can serve others and our world.

“Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another” John 13.34

Engagement and love for learning

We teach an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum with exciting extra-curricular opportunities that build on the children’s interests. We prepare our children personally, spiritually and academically so that when they leave us with a love for learning and a good foundation to be successful in their next phase. Our children are excited to learn and take pride in what they do.

Family First

Family is very important to us, and the staff team know our children and their families well. We have an active Parent Teacher Association, and we appreciate and value the support our families provide to the school and in supporting their children’s education.

Parent Partnership

Another very important part of our school is you, the parent! As you will see, by reading the many parent and pupil stories within this prospectus, you and your child are very important to us. We champion the link between school and parent (through parent meetings, PTA) and work very hard to involve you in every step of your child’s time here and increase your child’s enjoyment of learning.
